PART 1

Willow sat at the bar.

"Same as usual."

She looked surprised at the bartender's question but simply nodded,

"Thanks."

**How's that, same as usual? I don't come here that often do I? Ok maybe these last 2 weeks... I can't wait for the christmas vacation. Must be feeling homesick. I don't get why I keep coming here while the others all go to the Uni's bar. All my -britannic- friends are there.** she sighed, the bartender brought her a beer.

"Looking sad."

Willow looked at the young brunette who just talked to her and sat beside her, drinking her glass with a straw staring at her. Willow replied unthinking,

"Err me?"

The brunette replied, "No of course, that guy in the back."

Willow turned around before realizing there was no guy, and no back since she was close to the wall." she smiled to herself before saying,
"Sorry I'm kinda-"

"Distracted." The girl said. Willow replied with a more confident tone,

"Yeah kinda."

"Missing someone? You're not waiting for anyone anyway, you never come here with anyone."

Willow frowned, surprised and the young girl added, still very self confident,

"Been watching you."

Willow was even more surprised and just asked, "Err why?"

"You've... intrigued me."

"Really?"

She was trying to think of a reason for this interest but she felt herself intrigued too by this girl. The brunette went on,
"Yes, you're american right?"

"Yes, studying at the university."

"Wow, knew you were a brain."

Willow smiled and asked with real interest,
"What about you?"

"Well, studying too but that uni, definitely not ready for someone like me."

That made Willow smiled, she looked closely at the girl and frowned, she was obviously younger,

"Still in high school right? How old are you?"

As she expressed that question Willow frowned as a second one hit her mind, and she asked very low for the bartender not to hear,

"Hey, what are you doing in a place like that? How old are you?"

The yound girl smiled wickedly, "17."

Willow frowned and the brunette added with a frown,

"Almost, ok 16 and a half and so what? Anyway, I've got friends here and money... money can get you pretty much everywhere you want you know."

Willow sighed but smiled still, "I'd so like to know."

The brunette asked, "So, what were you thinking about before I came?"

Willow looked at her for a while, the young girl didn't quit her gaze off of her, this disturbed Willow quite a bit but she didn't show it. The girl was just a teen and she, herself, was a grown up as she was thought, so there was no reason why this girl would disturb her.

"What intrigued you that much? That I'm american?"

The brunette smiled at Willow's attempt to reverse the conversation into her control,

"Your freckles," the brunette replied smiling, then stared intensely at Willow and added,
"and now I can definitely add your eyes, yes your eyes first."

Willow blushed despite her will and she frowned inwardly, she was definitely having a flirtatious conversation with someone else other than Oz AND what's more with a girl. But despite herself, she couldn't help liking it, and she even hadn't realized it first, like it wasn't really disturbing her that it was a girl. Willow shook her head, no the girl was probably just killing time, that couldn't really be anything else.

"What's your name?"

Willow knew replying now would allow the girl to push it further so she said a bit teasing,
"It's kinda late for a girl your age being still out, shouldn't you be home sleeping already?"

"Actually I'm waited, my watch- my aunt's waiting for me but-"

Willow cut her, "Wait, were you gonna say wa- err sorry forget about it?"

The witch stopped herself thinking Sunnydale's slayers, werewolves and watchers had become an obsession. The young brunette watched her with curiosity. Willow cleared her throat,

"Well, so you should be going then."

The brunette confidently said, "Well, see you tomorrow then."

Willow smiled inwardly at the girl's self confidence and replied,

"I may not come back here, certainly not tomorrow."

"Yes you will."

The brunette told her as she got out of her chair. Willow was astonished and the girl said before leaving,

"Name is Kennedy."

Willow slightly laughed afterward, "Man this girl is cheeky."

~~~~~
Willow had Oz on the phone, he told her he couldn't come this week-end as they had planned, she was sad but could understand. They hadn't seen each other much this month, only once but strangely it wasn't that hard which Willow didn't really understand. Anyway, she had planned to go to the University's bar with her friends like every friday but after Oz's call she didn't really feel like it, instead she went back to the other bar which was a much more adult one and a darker one in some ways. She entered, took a short look around and headed to the bar, ordered her beer and couldn't help checking around again. She saw her again. The young brunette was sitting on a couch alone, staring at her invitingly, she'd spotted Willow as soon as the redhead had entered as if she knew she would come. Willow turned around towards the bar, still amazed by the girl's self confidence. She sighed, took her beer and turned around again, moving towards the brunette who smiled, "Hey red."
Willow let out a small laugh at the words. She sat beside the brunette.
"Willow."
"That's a cute name." Kennedy told her then casually asked,
"So how was your day?"
Willow smiled again before saying,
The usual, what about yours?"
"Same thing. Boring stuff at school and more boring stuff with my wa-aunt... haven't had much exercises today."
The end of her sentence was said in a very sensual tone. Willow gulped despite her will, she was about to ask something but Kennedy was quicker, she sat straight and even leaned in forward to Willow a little bit, staring at her intensely,
"So, what are your plan for the week-end?"
"Err, hum, well I should, I had plans but... I'm probably gonna study and hang out with my roomy and friends you know."
"Huh huh. No trip to motherland?"
"Well someone was supposed to come but it got canc-, postponned to next week."
"Someone?" Kennedy said in a very cool tone, barely questioning, pretending disinterest.
Willow thoughts of letting things be clear right now, "Boyfriend."
Kennedy raised a brow, not even flinching, still very confident she went on,
"What got into him? If I was him, God knows I wouldn't let my girlfriend alone, I'll be there every week end."
She was trying to find any weaknesses in Willow and her boyfriend's relationship to press on this button. Willow smiled, not dupe and sarcastically said,
"Well you've got money."
"Touché." Kennedy replied but it took more than that to disconcert her, "But still. Anyway what's his excuse... this time."
And there, by Willow's reaction she knew she'd found at least one right button to push on, effectively that wasn't the first time he let her down on a week-end.
"Well, money that's sure, and also they've got a gig, he plays the lead guitar in a band, rock band."
"Wow dating a musician, what's more a guitar player? Mustn't be easy for you, I mean guitar players; always have lots of groupies that's a known fact."
Willow smiled at Kennedy's attempt to get her suspicious. But the thing is that Willow was more interested at that moment to see where this girl would be able to push the talk, rather than thinking about what or with whom Oz was right now. She still didn't really believe the girl was for real in her advances. Willow backed up Kennedy's statement, showing her self confidence in herself and her boyfriend,
"Yes, plus he's really cute, and the band's kinda good."
Willow continued, she was the grown up, she decided to take the conversation in hands,
"So high school girl? Not the college type of girl, so then? What are you planning to do with your life? Not gonna hang around seedy bars all your life are you?"
"Well, that could be an option but no... my path's already mapped out."
"What do you mean?"
"Well can't say much but let's say, school, work, this kind of society things, not for me. I got a mission in life... And believe me I can't wait to fulfill my destiny."
Willow looked at her with a frown staring at her intensely, the almost said watcher word the night before coming back into her mind. Willow looked all around her,
"Is this a joke, Xander trying to trick me or something?"
"What?" Kennedy asked in surprise but shook her head,
"No, it's not I mean, sorry I use strange words I know, forget I ever said that, you can't understand, I shouldn't have- what?" Kennedy stopped as Willow was looking at her almost in shock,
"Are you a slayer?"
This time it's Kennedy who froze.
